FAQ's
Is the NIOS board certificate valid for Government jobs and higher studies?
Yes, absolutely. The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. It carries the same value as CBSE, ICSE, or any other State Board. NIOS certifications are valid for UPSC, SSC, NEET, JEE, and admission to all universities in India and abroad.
I failed in Class 11th. Can I take admission directly in Class 12th?
Yes, you can. NIOS allows you to save your wasted year. You can take direct admission in Senior Secondary (Class 12th) and appear for the board exams in the upcoming session.
What is the "Transfer of Credit" (TOC) facility?
If you have failed in 10th or 12th from any recognized board (like CBSE or State Board) but passed in at least one subject, you can transfer the marks of up to two passed subjects to NIOS. This means you do not have to re-appear for those subjects; you only need to give exams for the remaining subjects.
Can I choose any subject combination?
Yes, NIOS offers high flexibility. You can choose a mix of subjects from Science, Commerce, and Arts streams. For example, you can study Physics along with Economics if you wish.
Does NIOS Experts provide support for Assignments and Practicals?
Yes. We provide complete guidance for Tutor Marked Assignments (TMA) and Practical Files. These internal marks are crucial for boosting your overall percentage, and our faculty ensures you submit them correctly and on time.
